C & E seals agreement with Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc.

C & E Publishing, Inc. signed a three-year memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc. (DMSF) last August 2 at the DMSF campus in Davao City.

To continuously nurture and support medical education in the Philippines, C & E turned over scholarship grants, which include required medical textbooks, to select students of DMSF. C & E Chief Operating Officer John Emyl Eugenio, DMSF President Dr. Jonathan Alegre, DMSF Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Oliver Victoriano, DMSF Chief Operating Officer Dr. Oliver Victoriano and DMSF Assistant Dean-College of Medicine Dr. Erwin Rommel Hontiveros were present during the ceremonial turnover.

DMSF, recognized as one of the country’s top medical schools, was established in July 1976 to address the need for doctors in rural communities and the need for specialists in urban centers in Mindanao. The DMSF College of Medicine was the first college to be set up in Mindanao for such purpose. The college is dedicated to providing quality medical education and advanced training to enable its graduates to deliver effective medical care in rural and urban communities.

As part of its commitment of giving back to the community, C & E continues to extend support to underprivileged students through institutional partnerships, to provide them with equal opportunities and access to quality educational materials.
