C & E Publishing, Inc. launched a new local medical reference book titled Handbook of Endoscopy last October 8, 2015 during the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy (PSDE) Live Endoscopy Workshop at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Quezon City.

Edited by Drs. Mark Anthony A. De Lusong and Val F. Neri, the Handbook of Endoscopy presents both theoretical and practical concepts of endoscopy and covers important topics including the history and the proper maintenance of the endoscope as well as the indications, contraindications, and complications of the endoscopic procedure. The book aims to support and enhance the learning process of gastroenterology fellows in training, endoscopy trainers and support teams, and other allied medical practitioners in the Philippines.

Dr. De Lusong is the current director for advanced and basic endoscopy of the PSDE and the training officer of the Section of Gastroenterology of the Philippine General Hospital. Dr. Neri, on the other hand, is the chief of clinics of San Pablo Doctors Hospital and the incumbent secretary of the PSDE.

C & E’s product development and management division head Nieves Darroca and acquisition consultant for higher education Caridad Decena presented the first copy of the book to the editors during the handover ceremony.
