C & E holds learning assessment seminar in UAE
C & E Publishing, Inc. partnered with The Philippine School (TPS) in the United Arab Emirates in conducting a teachers’ seminar on classroom assessment under the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum last November 20 and 21, 2015 at TPS-Dubai and The Philippine Global School (TPGS) in Abu Dhabi, respectively.
More than 200 faculty members from TPS-Dubai, TPS-Abu Dhabi, and TPGS attended the seminar titled “Assessment in the K to 12 Program: A Walk-Through.” TPS and TPGS managing directress Leticia Maniaul, TPS-Dubai principal Jocelyn Sollano, TPS-Abu Dhabi principal Jonathan Esguerra, and TPGS principal Elizabeth Comia also graced the event.
Resource speaker Dr. Marylendra Penetrante, a licensed teacher, special education consultant, and the director of the Children and Youth Wellness Technical and Advocacy Center, reviewed the K to 12 program and discussed learning assessment tools, grading systems, and behavior reporting.
C & E showcased its K to 12-compliant textbooks, reference books, and teaching manuals as well as interactive tools developed by KITE Academy, a C & E subsidiary, during the activity.
C & E regularly conducts seminars, workshops, and other trainings on the K to 12 curriculum implementation for teachers and school administrators to help improve the quality of Philippine education.
